Ambassador Síle Maguire and Tourism Ireland send messages of support to VICA

With 4 four days to go to St. Patrick’s Day, we are stepping up our preparations for the 2019 Valencia St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. The Embassy of Ireland and Tourism Ireland have generously provided funding for this event, support which is greatly appreciated.

Síle Maguire, Ambassador of Ireland to Spain, released the following statement:

Happy St Patrick’s Day! ¡Feliz Día de San Patricio! Feliç dia de Sant Patrici!”

Barbara Wood, Manager Spain & Portugal of Tourism Ireland, said:

“Tourism Ireland is delighted to support the Valencia Irish Cultural Association and their St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. There is an exciting programme of events that will bring Irish music, dance, food and craic to the people of Valencia. Spain is an important market for tourism to Ireland with 445,000 Spaniards travelling there every year. St. Patrick’s Day is a unique celebration of all things Irish and this event will help encourage even more people to think about holidays in Ireland and build connections between Valencia and Ireland. We are immensely grateful to the Valencia Irish Cultural Association and the Ayuntamiento de Valencia for their hard work bringing this event to fruition.”

The Valencia St. Patrick’s Day Festival takes place at Tinglado 2 from 1130 to 1400, with the Parade taking place from 1400 to 1430.
