The 2019 St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will take place at Tinglado 2 in the Port area of Valencia. With support from the Ajuntament de Valencia, the Embassy of Ireland and Tourism Ireland, the 2019 event will build on the success of our first St. Patrick’s Day celebration in 2018. Read more

Valencia Irish Cultural Association’s first cultural event of 2019 will be a matinee of Short Irish Films. It will take place at Cinemas Las Vegas Valencia, Plaça de Fra Lluís Colomer 4, 46021 Valencia on Saturday, March 2nd from 1545 to 1800.
The afternoon will consist of 4 short award-winning Irish films – Rubaí (12 minutes), The Sound of People (7 minutes), The Crush (15 minutes) and Yu Ming is ainm dom (13 minutes). Each film will be followed by a short, open discussion. Read more
Our November cultural event is an evening of Irish Literature, and will take place in Mulligan’s Irish Pub on Calle Yecla 24.
The event will start at 6pm with poetry and short story readings. The main event will consist of a talk on James Joyce titled: “An Introduction to James Joyce and his Major Works”. Read more
Pádraig McCauley, an Irish singer-songwriter from County Armagh, will perform in Max Max Pub on Calle del Vinalopó 11 on Friday night, October 19th.
Pádraig has played extensively all over Ireland and Spain, and his energetic Irish set will no doubt make it a night to remember. Read more
San Vicent GAA club in Valencia is hoping to introduce Gaelic Football to schools in Valencia in 2018-2019.
On Saturday, September 15th the club had a great training/presentation session of Gaelic Football with the town hall. Almost 20 PE teachers, both primary and secondary, attended. The teachers enjoyed the session and seemed keen on introducing the game to their students. Read more

On May 16th 2018 Síle Maguire, the Ambassador of Ireland to Spain, came to visit us in Valencia. The Ambassador was coming to Valencia for a few days on a trade visit so she decided to come down a little early so that she could catch up with members of the Irish community in Valencia. Read more
San Vicente played host to 6 other Gaelic footabll teams from across Spain for their 1oth annual tournament in Valencia. The teams gathered at the pitches at Polideportivo Quatre Carreres at 11am and matches got underway straight away. Read more
March 17th 2018 saw the very first St. Patrick´s Day Festival in Valencia. It was a great event for all involved. The event was held in the Turia Riverbed under the bridge at the Alameda metro stop. The event kicked off at 11am with a meet and greet of several generations of Irish people and friends of Ireland. Read more
